On June 4, Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. George Sharvashidze attended Excellencies & Entrepreneurs Dinner held in World Trade Center The Hague. As part of the GES2019 summit ONL, the leading association of entrepreneurs in The Netherlands, organized Excellencies & Entrepreneurs Dinner in cooperation with the GES team, the municipality of The Hague and partners. The main objective was to connect entrepreneurs with each other, enable them to develop business and find solutions for social challenges.
During the dinner Ambassador George Sharvashidze made presentation for more than 20 entrepreneurs interested in Georgia.
The dinner was attended by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, H.E. Sigrid Kaag, 300 international innovative entrepreneurs from 88 different countries, the municipality representatives of The Hague and 40 ambassadors accredited to the Netherlands.
The dinner was held in the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2019 (GES2019) which is organized by the Netherlands and the United States of America in The Hague on 4 & 5 June. GES2019 attracted 2000 selected entrepreneurs and industry-leading participants from 120+ countries. Three Georgian companies Cargon, Lingwing and English language Center (ELC) took part in the summit. The goal is to find solutions to societal challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship. Since 2010, more than 20,000 entrepreneurs have participated in the summit and it has generated more than 1 billion euros in extra investments.
Leading speakers of GES2019 are Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, Prime-Minister of the Netherlands, H.E. Mark Rutte, U.S. Secretary of States, H.E. Michael Pompeo, Advisor to the President of the U.S. Ivanka Trump and CEO’s of leading companies.
