Celebration of the European Day of Languages

On September 26, Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its Sunday School took part in the event “speak date evening”, dedicated to the European Day of Languages, organized in the library of Rotterdam by EUNIC NL (European National Institutions for Culture), where the Georgian language was presented for the first time.

During the event the Georgian stand, together with Maltese, Italian, Croatian, French, Hungarian, Polish, Greek, Finnish, Estonian, Turkish, Spanish, Czech, Slovenian, Albanian, German, Austrian, Bulgarian and Lithuanian language stands, offered information about language, script, traditions and culture of the country.

The Georgian language corner attracted a great attention of the visitors.

On the same day, within the frames of the European Day of Languages, Venera Papitashvili, the teacher of the Embassy`s Sunday School conducted short sessions of the Georgian language for the classes of the Goethe-Institute Rotterdam.
